Assessment and Referral

Free Consultation

Choosing the right person to serve as your psychotherapist, coach, or mentor is the key to success in reaching your goals.   Research shows that the greatest predictors of sustainable outcomes from psychotherapy and coaching are:

 1.  Shared perspectives about the process of change.

2.   The ability to build a therapeutic alliance of trust, privacy, and collaboration.

3.   A contractual relationship, clearly defining the agreed upon goals, frequency of sessions, number of sessions, and desired outcomes, toward making a solid commitment.

During your introduction, you can decide if you want an assessment and referral session.  If, after your assessment, we decide we are not a good fit, I will help you find someone else.

The Deena Hitzke Counseling Sliding Fee Scale is designed to provide access to counseling for people whose household income falls below Federal poverty guidelines, offered to those experiencing financial hardship and unable to otherwise access the care that they need. To determine if your income falls below Federal Poverty Guidelines, please go to: https://aspe.hhs.gov/topics/poverty-economic-mobility/poverty-guidelines. If your total household income is at or below the 200% Federal Poverty column for your household size, your individual session fee will be $40/hour or a good faith estimate of up to $2000 per year. If your total household income is between 225% and 250% of the Federal Poverty column for your household size, your individual session fee will be $50/hour or a good faith estimate of up to $2600 per year. If your total household income is between 275% and 300% of the Federal Poverty column for your household size, your individual session fee will be $60/hour or a good faith estimate of $3000 per year. Good faith estimates assume weekly sessions for 50/52 weeks per year for a full year, representing the maximum number of sessions for which you are eligible under the sliding fee scale plan. Those who qualify for a sliding scale fee for individual and family sessions also qualify for a $5 discount per group session. All other patients will be charged $75.00 per hour for individual/couple/family sessions (Up to $3750/Year) and $35.00/1.5 hours of group sessions.  To apply for the sliding fee scale, patients must provide or upload proof of income, including gross wages, salaries, tips, business income, workman's compensation, social security, interest income, or other sources of income, excluding public benefits.
